If you're facing a challenge—like needing a bedding, clothing, school supplies, or help with a child’ sports fees—CarePortal can connect your need with someone nearby who’s ready to support your family. It’s a simple way to get help from people who want to see your family safe, strong, and thriving. The request will be met only for families with children in the home.

So many great charities provide clothing, meals, and toys to families in need. But as wonderful as this aid is, few organizations offer suitable beds and bedding to the kids in these families.

At SHP, we fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs. When it was brought to our attention that the need for beds went far beyond our own neighborhoods, we stepped up and took initiative. We’re a national organization answering the call to a national problem.

Our team of coaches will meet with you to build a solid resume, no matter your work history, and support you to build skills, gain stability, and pursue a meaningful career.

We have built connection to local employers ready to hire those in our program.

The 14th and Chestnut Community center is a faith-based Nonprofit organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of local children. The community center runs an after school program and other various programs throughout the year in order to ensure these children have what they need. There is a food pantry open to the community that is also run by the community center.

Catholic Charities Terre Haute provides help and creates hope by nourishing the minds, bodies and spirits of children, families, adults and seniors. By collaborating with community partners, we provide nutritious food, safe shelter, quality youth programming and essential human and household needs to our neighbors.

Our food pantry provides services every Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Participants must be in line by 9:30 a.m. to receive food. Home food delivery requests must be sent on Monday or Tuesday for each week's scheduled delivery.
